About Live Southwest Iowa
Basically, we recognize that in the era of high-speed internet, fewer requirements to be on-site for a job, Southwest Iowa can be a great place to relocate for people unhappy in the city! We have great schools, affordable homes, safe communities, vibrant local culture and wide open roads between our contiguous communities.
What we call Southwest Iowa is from the Missouri border, North to Interstate 80 and from Interstate 35, West to the Nebraska border. You may notice a lot of cities not listed. We are starting with a small coalition, organizing the information and growing to include any town or county that wants to be involved that meets our physical criteria.
Instead of reinventing the wheel, some of us wanted to pool resources to showcase our great community of Southwest Iowa, for you to consider as your next home. We've taken basic statistics as reported by various methods and created side-by-side comparisons for your consideration. You can search most of the information we've provided on your own, but this should help make it easier to cross-compare and find what you need to make the move.
We have exceptional organizations in Southwest Iowa including industry, retail, entrepreneurs, Chambers of Commerce, Economic Development Corporations, schools, colleges, universities and local government who are partnering with our committee to provide information and connect newcomers with resources for a smooth transition into Southwest Iowa living.
Southwest Iowa Marketing is a coalition of diverse professionals representing chambers of commerce, economic development organizations, and marketing firms, unified in our mission to centralize resources for individuals considering the transition from urban to rural life.
The expansive region from I-29 to the Missouri border, and from the Nebraska border to I-80, commonly referred to as Southwest Iowa.
Our aim is to provide comprehensive information and support centered on education, employment opportunities, safety standards, and the thriving housing market available in the region.
